Jim Lovell is a landscape photographer based in Hobart, Tasmania. Jim's recent work has been focused on capturing the essential elements of the Tasmanian landscape using long exposure techniques.

 The Acoustics Lab

The Acoustics Lab at Astro Acoustics is adapting radio astronomy techniques to passive acoustic wildlife monitoring. The main project is the development of a bioacoustic recorder capable of providing localisation measurements of animal calls, allowing studies of population sizes, movement and behaviour.

Research and VLBI Consulting

With over 30 years experience in the field, Astro Acoustics can provide assistance in developing techniques and strategies for efficient gathering of experimental data and software solutions for data organisation, management, analysis and visualisation. We also offer consultation services in Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), particularly in the area of planning and implementation of new facilities.
